  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to prepare green tomatoes and bell peppers in jars for the winter? First of all, prepare all the necessary products. Choose whole tomatoes, without dark spots or spots. Try to take fruits that are approximately small and of the same size.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

So, remove the stems from the tomatoes. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes and leave for 5 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

At this time, wash and sterilize the jars in any way convenient for you. I sterilized them in a water bath and threw the lids into boiling water.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the garlic. Remove the places where the tails attach to the peppers and remove the seeds. If possible, use fleshy, juicy peppers of different colors for the recipe, then your preparation will look bright and incredibly appetizing! Rinse the dill umbrellas, hot peppers and everything else under running water.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cut the peppers as finely as possible (can be cubes or thin strips).

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Chop the garlic with a knife or pass through a press.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place dill umbrellas and a few chili peppers at the bottom of a sterile jar.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

    Add vegetable mixture.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the tomatoes to the top. You should not press the tomatoes tightly against each other.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Prepare the brine. Boil water, add salt and sugar. Let simmer for a few minutes. Pour in the vinegar and remove immediately from the heat.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Pour boiling brine over the tomatoes and cover with lids. Cover the bottom of a wide pan with a towel, place the jars, pour warm water almost up to the shoulders. Bring to a boil, then reduce the flame to moderate and sterilize the workpiece for 15-20 minutes. Close with lids.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Turn the jars upside down and wrap them in a warm blanket. Leave at room temperature until completely cooled.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Ready! Place the jars in any cool place for long-term storage.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

    Very fragrant and tasty!

I prepared green tomatoes and bell peppers for the winter. I took the quantity of products by eye. But I cooked the brine strictly according to the recipe, it turned out delicious and rich! My tomatoes were just right: no longer dark green, but still strong. There were no dill umbrellas, I put ordinary sprigs in jars, they are also fragrant. I added more parsley to the pepper and garlic, and chopped one large hot pepper. While the jars were standing with brine, I began to sterilize them in two pans. 1.5 l each. and 1 l. 20 minutes after water boils. Cans with a volume of 0.7 l. 15 minutes. The jars stood under the blanket for two days, because there were a lot of them and they cooled down slowly. I think there will be very tasty tomatoes in winter! Thanks for the recipe!
