Tomatoes with bird cherry and vinegar without sterilization

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare delicious tomatoes for the winter, we select approximately identical and dense fruits, which we wash very well.
STEP 2

We make a puncture in the stem of each tomato so that they maintain their integrity during the cooking process.
STEP 3

We remove the leaves from the bird cherry branches and use them as a flavoring agent in the marinade.
STEP 4

We put two and a half kilograms of tomatoes into jars, measure the boiling water by pouring it into a liter measuring mug and pour it into a two-liter jar of tomatoes, respectively, pour half a liter of boiling water into a liter jar and leave the heating of the tomatoes to cool for about twenty minutes.
STEP 5

Place two branches of bird cherry in a saucepan, add five tablespoons of sugar per liter of water, plus two and a half tablespoons of sugar per half liter of water added to the saucepan.
STEP 6

Add one and a half tablespoons of salt for pickling to the pan and place on the stove and bring to a boil.
STEP 7

Drain the water from the cooled cans of tomatoes, after closing them with a special lid.
STEP 8

Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and boil for two minutes, after which the marinade for pouring over the tomatoes is ready.
STEP 9

Fill jars of tomatoes with the prepared marinade and add bird cherry to each sprig.
STEP 10

Add one teaspoon of vinegar essence to a two-liter jar of tomatoes, or half a teaspoon to a liter jar.
STEP 11

Close the jars tightly with lids.
STEP 12

We turn the jars over and check for leaks, then cover them with a blanket and leave them to cool for several hours. Store home-cooked tomatoes without sterilization in a cool and dry place for the winter. Bon appetit everyone!
