I made three half-liter jars of tomatoes for the winter with basil and garlic. I took harder tomatoes, not very red, so that they would retain their shape when marinated. I washed them and cut them into slices, after removing the tails. I put it in sterilized jars, adding peppercorns and garlic. Having filled the jars halfway, I added basil sprigs, then added tomatoes, and placed the remaining basil on top. I poured boiling water over the tomatoes and let them sit for 10 minutes. After draining the water into the pan to prepare the marinade, I added half a tablespoon of salt, a heaping tablespoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of citric acid. I reduced the amount of ingredients for the marinade, since I drained less than a liter of water, about 600 - 700 g. I tried the marinade with salt and sugar, it came out so tasty! I’ve never made winter preparations with citric acid before, but it turned out that the marinade with it is much softer and tastes good. The prmidorki will turn out wonderful! Thank you very much for the wonderful recipe!
