I kneaded the dough using a food processor, but you can do everything by hand. Sift the flour and pour it into the combine bowl. Add yeast and grind together with flour into crumbs. (If you are not sure about the quality of the yeast, then it is better to activate it first. To do this, dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and leave for 5-10 minutes. During this time, a foamy cap should appear on the surface if The yeast has foamed, which means everything is fine with it.)

Finely chop the orange zest and grind it with sugar, so the zest will give off more flavor.

The sugar turns out very aromatic, use the amount of zest to your taste, 1 tsp is always enough for me.

In a separate container, mix warm milk, yogurt, 1 egg, melted butter and sugar with zest. Mix everything.

Turn on the food processor and add liquid ingredients in small portions and knead the dough.

The dough turns out quite sticky, but not liquid. You may need to add a little flour.

Sprinkle the work surface with flour, lay out the dough, and knead until smooth.

The dough turns out very tender and soft (do not overdo it with flour). Roll the dough into a ball, place in a bowl and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour. The dough should increase 2-3 times.

When the dough has risen, chop the hazelnuts (or any other nuts of your choice), level them on the work surface, and place the dough on top.

To make our bread not only tasty, but also beautiful, we divide the dough into 3 equal parts.

We roll each part into a rope, we get 3 ropes. We braid them into a braid, carefully fastening the dough at the ends.

Place the finished braid in the mold and leave to rise for 20-30 minutes. Brush the risen bread with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.

Bake the bread in an oven preheated to 180 C for about 30-40 minutes. Let the finished bread cool.
