STEP 1
How to make swallow's nest cutlets in the oven? Prepare your ingredients.
STEP 2
Peel the bell pepper from seeds and stalks and cut into rings about 1 cm thick. It is advisable to choose bell peppers with the most even and straight walls. The shape of the cutlets will depend on this.
STEP 3
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into not very thin slices.
STEP 4
Cut the cheese into slices the size of bell pepper slices. To do this, you can attach a circle of bell pepper to a cut piece of cheese and carefully cut it along the inner circle with a knife.
STEP 5
Wash the parsley, dry and finely chop.
STEP 6
Pass the garlic through a press. Either grate on a fine grater, or finely chop with a knife.
STEP 7
Add garlic, parsley, salt and ground black pepper, and egg to the minced meat. Knead the minced meat thoroughly so that all ingredients are well mixed together. Add your favorite spices if desired.
STEP 8
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment. Arrange the bell pepper rings. Stuff the rings tightly with minced meat. This amount of minced meat yields approximately 6 cutlets, this will depend on the size of the bell pepper.
STEP 9
Lubricate the surface of the cutlets with sour cream, this will make them more tender and juicy. Take good, high-quality sour cream without milk fat substitutes.
STEP 10
Place tomato slices on top.
STEP 11
Place the cutlets in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30 minutes. Carefully remove the baking sheet and place the cheese slices on top of the cutlets. If desired, you can replace a whole slice of cheese with grated cheese.
STEP 12
Return the pan to the oven for 10-15 minutes and bake until the cheese crust is golden brown. Cooking times are approximate, use your oven as a guide. Bon appetit!
