  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make swallow's nest cutlets in the oven? Prepare your ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the bell pepper from seeds and stalks and cut into rings about 1 cm thick. It is advisable to choose bell peppers with the most even and straight walls. The shape of the cutlets will depend on this.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into not very thin slices.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Cut the cheese into slices the size of bell pepper slices. To do this, you can attach a circle of bell pepper to a cut piece of cheese and carefully cut it along the inner circle with a knife.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the parsley, dry and finely chop.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pass the garlic through a press. Either grate on a fine grater, or finely chop with a knife.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add garlic, parsley, salt and ground black pepper, and egg to the minced meat. Knead the minced meat thoroughly so that all ingredients are well mixed together. Add your favorite spices if desired.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment. Arrange the bell pepper rings. Stuff the rings tightly with minced meat. This amount of minced meat yields approximately 6 cutlets, this will depend on the size of the bell pepper.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Lubricate the surface of the cutlets with sour cream, this will make them more tender and juicy. Take good, high-quality sour cream without milk fat substitutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

    Place tomato slices on top.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place the cutlets in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30 minutes. Carefully remove the baking sheet and place the cheese slices on top of the cutlets. If desired, you can replace a whole slice of cheese with grated cheese.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Return the pan to the oven for 10-15 minutes and bake until the cheese crust is golden brown. Cooking times are approximate, use your oven as a guide. Bon appetit!

Today for dinner I prepared swallow's nest cutlets in the oven according to this recipe. I took store-bought minced chicken. In the absence of tomatoes, I added onions according to the author’s advice. In addition to parsley, eggs, garlic, salt and pepper, I also added chicken seasoning to the minced meat. The minced meat turned out good. I placed minced meat in rings of bell peppers, brushed them with 25% fat sour cream, put onions on top and sprinkled with grated cheese. I baked the dish in a mold instead of a baking sheet in the oven for half an hour. The nests came out amazing. The bell pepper is juicy, the minced meat is not dry at all, the sour cream added juiciness to the cutlets, the onion was well baked, and the cheese turned into a crispy crust. Amazing cutlets in a new way. The dish is not at all greasy. It turned out appetizing, aromatic and incredibly tasty! Many thanks to the author!

Maria, I’ll definitely try to make such an interesting non-standard recipe!!! I really liked that the cutlets are not fried, but baked in the oven. And you’re right about Odessa restaurants, they have very original dishes with creative names; all of this, of course, is primarily aimed at tourists)))

Ira, I was thinking about cheese, I wanted to ask Maria what kind she took, it was round in shape, I was just curious. Maybe I could try a cheese like Mozzarella? Or maybe reduce the baking time with cheese? Although I'm sure it didn't affect the taste. Well, the cutlets turned out to be very tasty!!! And such an interesting recipe

I made these wonderful cutlets over the weekend!!! They turned out VERY tasty, juicy and tender!!! I added grated carrots to the minced meat and put a very thin layer of onion under the tomato. The onions were cooked well and gave flavor to the cutlets. I used Goudamer cheese, I put a thin small piece, I was afraid that it would spread. On the contrary, my cheese didn’t melt well))) Next time I’ll put wider pieces. Maria, thank you very much for the wonderful recipe, I will definitely make it again))) Ira, it’s definitely worth making, it turns out VERY TASTY and original))) Of course, I’m attaching a photo report
