Stewed vegetables in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make stewed vegetables in a frying pan? Wash the zucchini under running water. Cut in half lengthwise and cut the vegetable into fairly large half rings. If you like your zucchini as soft as possible, you may want to grind it more, but don't get too carried away. The zucchini should be visible in the finished dish. Zucchini can be successfully replaced with regular zucchini. And in general, in this recipe all vegetables are variable. For now, transfer the vegetables to a separate bowl.
STEP 2
Remove bell peppers from seeds and stems. Cut the pepper into fairly large pieces. It would be better to choose red or yellow peppers for the external harmony of the finished dish.
STEP 3
Wash the carrots, rubbing the skins with a brush if they are very dirty. Peel the carrots using a vegetable peeler and cut into thin half rings. This is necessary so that it has time to reach readiness.
STEP 4
Peel the onions and cut into thin half rings. It would be better to take white or yellow onions. Purple will be dissonant in the finished dish. You don't have to add onions at all if you don't like them.
STEP 5
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut into thin rings. In fact, the cut for tomatoes can be absolutely any, only the appearance of the finished dish depends on it.
STEP 6
So, the preparation of vegetables is finished. Grease a non-stick frying pan with sunflower oil and place all the vegetables in it. Place over medium heat. For instructions on choosing a frying pan and oil for frying, see the separate articles at the end of this recipe.
STEP 7
I immediately salt the dish to taste, although this can be done at the end of cooking. Add your favorite spices or dried herbs. I have a mixture of Italian herbs.
STEP 8
Simmer the dish, covered, over medium heat for five minutes, without stirring the vegetables.
STEP 9
Then stir the dish and, removing the lid, cook the vegetables until cooked. Cooking time will be different for everyone. Some people like their vegetables to be a little crunchy (then simmer them for no more than seven minutes). And some people like vegetables as soft as possible (in this case it may take fifteen minutes or more).
