Stewed potatoes with mushrooms in a slow cooker
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make stewed potatoes with mushrooms in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. Any mushrooms will do - wild mushrooms, champignons, oyster mushrooms, both fresh and frozen. Wild mushrooms will need to be boiled first. Cultivated ones are easy enough to wash.
STEP 2
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. To avoid irritating the mucous membranes of your eyes when cutting onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a slice of lemon before cutting.
STEP 3
Wash the champignons carefully with a sponge. Do not wet them too much - mushrooms tend to absorb moisture, which makes them watery and less tasty. Simply wipe the caps and stems. Pat the mushrooms dry with paper towels and then cut into quarters. Do not crush too much, as the mushrooms shrink when frying.
STEP 4
Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into large cubes.
STEP 5
Turn on the multicooker mode suitable for frying. It may be called differently, depending on the model. Set the time (if it is set) to 20 minutes. Warm up the appliance a little, then pour odorless vegetable oil into the bowl. Add onion. Fry it, stirring, for 5-7 minutes, until golden. There is no need to close the lid.
STEP 6
Add mushrooms to the fried onions. Salt and pepper them. Also, with the lid open, fry the champignons, stirring until the moisture evaporates. Just at this moment the program will end.
STEP 7
Place the potatoes in a bowl, add salt and mix the ingredients. You can also add your favorite spices. Pour in water. Adjust its quantity yourself: if you want a thinner dish, add more, if you want a drier dish, add less. Use boiled water, as the stewing mode does not bring the liquid to a boil. I poured boiling water, about half a glass.
STEP 8
Close the multicooker lid and set the mode suitable for stewing. Set the time to at least 40 minutes (for me it starts at 1 hour, I set it). After the end signal, open the lid and stir. The dish is ready.
STEP 9
Place the potatoes stewed with mushrooms on plates, sprinkle with fresh herbs to taste and serve. Bon appetit!
