  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make stewed cabbage in a pressure cooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Remove the top few leaves from the head of cabbage; we won’t need them. They usually accumulate dust and dirt. Peel the onions and carrots, rinse them in running water to remove any dirt, and dry them.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Chop the peeled onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. If desired, you can change the cutting method.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour a little vegetable oil into the pressure cooker bowl and turn on the “fry” mode for 10 minutes. Wait for the bowl to warm up. Then place the chopped vegetables - onions and carrots - into the bowl. Fry the vegetables, stirring occasionally.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

At this time, start shredding the cabbage. If you want the finished dish to be very soft, then try to chop the cabbage as finely as possible. I like to use fresh, young cabbage.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add shredded cabbage to the fried vegetables and switch from the “frying” mode to the “stewing” mode. And set the cooking time to 40 minutes. The times indicated are approximate; be guided by the operating characteristics of your equipment. Add a little salt and spices to the bowl to taste. I used a little paprika for spices. If desired, you can add a little tomato paste to the stewed cabbage. You can stir the cabbage during cooking.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the finished fresh cabbage in a pressure cooker on plates and help yourself. This dish can be used as an independent dietary dish, or as a side dish for meat dishes. Bon appetit! Help yourself!

Stewed cabbage in a pressure cooker is a simple and easy to prepare dish for the everyday table. I took all the vegetables, washed and peeled them. I chopped the onions and carrots as described in the recipe. In the "frying" mode, I prepared the frying. Shred the cabbage into medium pieces. I put the cabbage in the pressure cooker to fry. The only spices I added were salt and a little pepper. Cooked in “stew” mode for 40 minutes. And the dish is ready! Wonderful recipe! Very fast and easy! The cabbage turned out to be aromatic, tender, juicy and tasty! The cabbage came out soft, but did not turn into porridge. During cooking, the dish reduces in volume by half. I will definitely cook it again and recommend it to everyone! Many thanks to the author!

I made stewed cabbage in the pressure cooker using this recipe. More precisely, it was mainly the equipment that cooked). Ten minutes of frying was enough for the onions and carrots to brown well. I add another 2 minutes to heat the oil. It is better not to chop the cabbage too much so that it does not turn into mush. Half of my cabbage filled the entire multicooker bowl. But the cabbage is greatly reduced in volume! After 40 minutes of stewing, there are not very many vegetables left). When stewing, you don’t even need water, because cabbage gives enough juice. For spices, I added universal vegetable seasoning. Cabbage is very tasty and aromatic! It is soft, but has retained its shape well! Cabbage in a pressure cooker turns out similar to stewed cabbage in the oven, only much faster.

At our house we somehow got into the habit of cooking many dishes in a pressure cooker, stewed cabbage is no exception, and my father-in-law somehow managed to make a moonshine still out of it, even my favorite utensil in the kitchen! It reduces the cooking time significantly, and it’s a pleasure to cook vegetables in it; there’s also a grate that allows you to steam it!!!

Normal. Only in my Martha pressure cooker (don’t buy it, it sucks, there are problems with the controls and the steam valve) because of the higher power, it is better to put the stewed cabbage in for 20-25 minutes. Overall a great recipe, cheap and cheerful

I stewed the cabbage as in the recipe, tried it once without anything with tomato paste, and the second time with chicken as a filler. It turned out great both times. But 40 minutes without meat in a pressure cooker is too much, 20-25 is enough. Of course you need longer with meat or chicken
