Sponge cake with chocolate glaze

Guests will be amazed! Simple, fast and homemade! To be honest, this recipe doesn't quite live up to its name. The classic “Count's Ruins” cake is made from meringue with chocolate glaze. And the Count's Ruins sponge cake is a solution to all sorts of problems that may arise with a sponge cake) The cake did not rise, the cake fell apart while you pulled it out of the mold, the cake cracked, bubbled, burned - don't be upset! There is a solution. Very elegant and sophisticated at that.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Beat two eggs using a mixer, adding sugar in small portions while beating. The egg mass is beaten for about 10 minutes. Sift the flour and mix with baking powder. Pour small portions into the eggs and stir from top to bottom.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Preheat the oven to 180C and bake the cake in the pan for about 30 minutes (depending on the oven and pan). If you bake it in a slow cooker, it will be even better. In a regular cartoon, it bakes for 50 minutes.

Cool the finished biscuit and cut into pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Preparing the cream. Beat sour cream with sugar, add vanillin.

  5. STEP 5

Dip the biscuit pieces into the cream and arrange them beautifully in a mound. Pour over melted chocolate and mixed with milk. It takes up to 2-3 hours to soak the cake.

The result is a very tasty cake, it takes 10-12 minutes to prepare the dough, the sponge cake is baked depending on the thickness for up to 30 minutes. Let it cool a little for 15-20 minutes and cut into cubes, let it cool completely. While the biscuit is cooling, prepare the cream: beat the sour cream with sugar and melt the chocolate in a steam bath, you can do it in the microwave, but you need to add a little water. It takes another 5 minutes to dip the pieces in the cream and place them on the dish; pour them over with chocolate. ALL! The cake soaks for 1-2 hours and is ready to eat. Bon appetit!!

The cake itself should be quite tasty. but how to cut it then? there will be problems because the form is quite fragile. I would do it a little differently - I would make it in portioned bowls - such small ruins, but everyone would use a fork and take them apart pebbles

Fiesta, once the cake has set, it is quite easy to cut into pieces. They stick together well, and the frozen cream prevents them from falling apart. But your idea is also good!

As I understand it, the count's ruins are the same Pancho cake? Recipe: beat 6 eggs, divide the dough into 2 bowls, add cocoa to one. Pour onto a baking sheet and place in the oven. After baking, pour pineapple juice syrup over it and cut the biscuit into small squares. Dip these squares into a pre-prepared mixture: sour cream and powdered sugar, and arrange them in a heap, like the ruins of a count. Insanely delicious cake!
