Soy marinade for chicken in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make soy marinade for chicken in the oven? Prepare your food. Take soy sauce with the simplest composition - it should contain only 4 ingredients: soybeans, wheat, salt and water. This sauce is natural and delicious. Use odorless vegetable oil, first of all, mustard is tasty, I like it sweet. You can reduce or increase the amount of garlic according to your taste. The same applies to spices - add what you think is necessary.
STEP 2
Take a bowl of suitable size and pour soy sauce into it first, and then vegetable oil. Add sugar and spices. Instead of sugar, you can add honey and other spices. I don’t recommend adding salt, since soy sauce itself is very salty. Add a spoonful of mustard. Peel the garlic and squeeze through a press to other products.
STEP 3
Mix everything until smooth. The marinade is ready.
STEP 4
Rinse the chicken thighs well under running water and then dry thoroughly with a paper towel. Apart from thighs, absolutely any part of the chicken will do. You can even marinate a whole chicken by making a lot of marinade first.
STEP 5
Place the chicken in a suitable container (preferably glass, as plastic can absorb odor and metal can oxidize). Pour the resulting marinade over it. It’s okay if it doesn’t cover all the meat entirely—it will be enough to turn the pieces over from time to time. Refrigerate the thighs for at least 1 hour. Ideally - for the whole night, then the chicken will be especially aromatic.
STEP 6
Take a suitable baking dish. Place the chicken in it in one layer. There is no need to pour in the marinade; it has already done its job. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 7
Bake the chicken in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 1 hour. The exact time will depend on the size of the pieces and the features of your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Focus on appearance - the skin should be browned.
STEP 8
Serve the chicken to the table. Bon appetit!
