STEP 1

How to make small snack pies with meat? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making the dough. Butter, kefir and egg should be cold.
STEP 2

Cut the cold butter into cubes.
STEP 3

Sift the flour through a fine sieve into a deep bowl. Place pieces of butter into the flour.
STEP 4

Rub the flour and butter into crumbs with your hands. To speed up the process, you can beat the flour and butter in a blender. You may need a little less or more flour, check the consistency of the dough. Read about the properties of flour in a separate article at the end of this recipe.
STEP 5

Combine kefir with egg, sugar and salt and shake until smooth. It is convenient to do this with a fork or whisk.
STEP 6

Pour the kefir mixture into the flour crumbs and knead into a smooth, soft dough. Due to the large amount of butter, the dough is very pliable and elastic.
STEP 7

Roll the dough into a ball. It should be thick and hold its shape well.
STEP 8

Wrap the dough in a bag or cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours. During this time, it will cool down and will not tear when rolling out. If you prepare the dough in the evening, it will cool down more and before rolling it should be allowed to stand at room temperature for 20-30 minutes. It will become more elastic and easier to stretch.
STEP 9

Prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling. You can use any minced meat. To make the pies juicy, it is better to use mixed minced meat. I have minced chicken and a mixture of pork and beef.
STEP 10

In a bowl, combine minced meat and chicken, mayonnaise, pour in vegetable oil, add spices. Take any spices to suit your taste. You can use not only store-bought mayonnaise, but also make it yourself. You will find a suitable recipe at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 11

Mix everything well. In addition to the above ingredients, you can add finely chopped onion to the minced meat.
STEP 12

Divide the dough into 3-4 parts.
STEP 13

Roll out each piece on a floured board into a thin circle and use a glass to cut out circles from the dough.

Carefully pinch the edges of the dough.

If you wish, you can make a beautiful tuck on the pies by gathering the edges of the dough with a toothpick.
STEP 17

Place the resulting pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment and greased with vegetable oil. If desired, you can brush the pies with beaten egg. I didn’t grease it because there is a lot of butter in the dough. Bake the pies for about 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C.
