Simple Chocolate Rooster Cake

STEP 1

In a mixer bowl (or in a simple bowl), combine the sifted flour, soda, and salt. Salt is a must, it gives its taste. You can put in less the first time. Add sugar.

Add cocoa and stir the dry mixture.
STEP 3

Add milk.
STEP 4

Add eggs, two types of butter (melt the butter and cool) and vinegar.
STEP 5

Mix the dough well.
STEP 6

The dough is ready. It's quite liquid.
STEP 7

Transfer the dough into the prepared pan and bake - 180 degrees and 50 minutes. Check for readiness - dry match and springy center.
STEP 8

Cool the cake and let it rest in plastic wrap for 3 hours to 3 days.
STEP 9

Cut off the cap. It won't be useful.
STEP 10

Using a round die cutter, cut out part of the cake.
STEP 11

The result was a torso and a head.
STEP 12

For the ganache, melt the cream and chocolate.
STEP 13

Cover the rooster with chocolate.
STEP 14

Decorate the chocolate rooster with marmalade and sprinkles.
STEP 15
