  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to cook semolina porridge with pumpkin? Prepare your ingredients. If you are cooking it for a child, I recommend choosing orange, sweet varieties of pumpkin. If your pumpkin is not very sweet, add more sugar or honey to taste. You can use any semolina. You can also use frozen pumpkin.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the pumpkin, peel it, remove the core and seeds. Cut the pulp into small cubes (you can grate it, then the pumpkin will be almost invisible in the porridge, and the porridge will cook faster) and transfer to a saucepan. Fill it with water so that it covers the pumpkin by a couple of centimeters. Place the pan on the fire. When the water boils, reduce the heat to medium and cook the pumpkin for about 15 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then pour milk into the pan. Add sugar and salt to taste. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes from the moment of boiling.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Start adding the semolina to the pot with the pumpkin. Pour the semolina from the glass in a thin stream, stirring constantly with your other hand so that the semolina does not form lumps and stick to the bottom. Cook the porridge for about 5-7 minutes, stirring. When the porridge begins to thicken, turn off the heat.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cover the saucepan with a lid and leave the porridge to stand under the lid for about 20 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then place the porridge on plates, adding a piece of butter to it. You can decorate with a sprig of fresh herbs. Bon appetit!

Every day I make porridge for the child. I found a recipe for not just semolina porridge, but with a healthy vegetable. I decided to cook with frozen pumpkin in the freezer. I did everything according to the recipe, as the author writes. I took a sweet, bright orange pumpkin. First I boiled the pumpkin pieces, then added milk and sugar. At the end, I added semolina little by little, stirring with a spatula, and cooked the porridge for another 3 minutes. I turned off the stove and let the porridge stand for 20 minutes as recommended by the author. I made an excellent breakfast dish very quickly, without any difficulties. The porridge according to this recipe came out medium thick. Semolina porridge with pumpkin turned out very aromatic, bright, healthy and tasty! The child really liked the tender and sweet porridge. Thank you!

For breakfast I prepared semolina porridge with pumpkin. I grated the pumpkin to speed up the cooking process and get a more uniform porridge consistency. I often cook rice or millet milk porridge with pumpkin, but this is the first time I’ve cooked it with semolina. I also liked this option: tasty, healthy and the cooking process is much faster. Thanks to the author for the recipe!
