STEP 1

How to make a cheese sandwich? Prepare your food. I will prepare one sandwich, I will give the proportions for it. Choose high-quality cheese that is natural and melts well. This is the main condition. And what it will be is at your discretion. You can take a piece and grate it, you can use ready-made slices or cut the cheese yourself. The classic recipe is made with cheddar. Even processed cheese will do, the one in the plates.
STEP 2

In the classic recipe, the bread is used for toasting, like mine. But in general, such sandwiches can be prepared even with a loaf. Both white varieties and those made from whole grain flour are suitable, I don’t know how it will work with rye, I haven’t tried it. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. Take a quality product, without vegetable fats. Butter both pieces of bread on one side.
STEP 3

Place the frying pan on low heat. I have a non-stick coating and a thick bottom. Place a tablespoon of butter into the pan. Melt it down. I always add a little vegetable oil to the butter so it doesn't burn when frying.
STEP 4

Place one piece of bread butter side down in the pan. Place grated or sliced cheese on it. Cover the pan with a lid and turn the heat to low. Wait until the cheese begins to melt.
STEP 5

When this happens, cover it with the second piece, but place it butter side up. Press the top of the piece lightly with a spatula so that the cheese sticks to the bread.
STEP 6

Check the piece of bread that is lying in the frying pan - if it is browned, then carefully turn the sandwich over and fry it to the same state on the other side. Do not increase the heat, the oil begins to burn quickly. Remove the finished sandwich from the pan and serve immediately while the cheese is hot.
STEP 7

If you used toast bread, cut the sandwich diagonally into two pieces - this is how a classic sandwich is served. Bon appetit!
