Salad with smoked ham and mushrooms

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Let's prepare the main salad ingredients.
STEP 2
Cut the onion into thin quarter rings.
STEP 3
Saute the onions in a mixture of butter and vegetable oils.
STEP 4
When the onion becomes soft and golden, add the mushrooms to it along with the marinade in which they were preserved. Evaporate excess liquid from the mushrooms for 7-10 minutes.
STEP 5
Meanwhile, grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
STEP 6
Cut the cheese into thin and short strips.
STEP 7
We take the finished mushrooms out of the pan, and in their place we send the carrots to fry. This procedure will take 3-4 minutes.
STEP 8
Finally, remove the meat from the ham and chop it finely.
STEP 9
Combine mushrooms with onions, carrots, cheese and chicken in one bowl.
STEP 10
Add mayonnaise and black pepper to the ingredients. Mix everything thoroughly. I advise you to add mayonnaise one spoon at a time: if after the first one it seems to you that there is enough of it in the salad, you can stop there. If desired, you can add a little lemon juice and salt to taste to the salad, but some of the ingredients already have enough salt, so try the salad before adding salt.
