Smoked legs
Quite a budget product, available at any time of the year, smoked chicken legs are a dish in themselves that can be served with any suitable side dish or as an appetizer. Salads with them also turn out very tasty. Even the well-known Olivier will sparkle with new shades - try it and see for yourself.
In salads, smoked ham is combined with almost any vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, nuts, sour berries and fruits. Usually it is cut into small pieces without heat treatment. Goes well with mayonnaise, Caesar sauce, sour cream and tomato sauces.
Such legs are sold cold (most often). But they can be successfully baked in the oven to serve as a hot dish. In principle, any recipe that includes raw chicken is suitable for this smoked product. All that remains is to adjust the cooking time downwards. They turn out tasty and appetizing with potatoes, buckwheat, rice, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, champignons, oyster mushrooms, and pasta.
By the way, recently many housewives have begun to smoke chicken legs at home. At the same time, everyone chooses for herself which spice or preservative to add (or do without the latter altogether). This procedure is not as complicated as it might seem. And you can even do without a smokehouse - just stock up on liquid smoke and have an oven in the house.
