STEP 1

How to make a bright salad with broccoli, cherry tomatoes and cheese? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use fresh or frozen broccoli. You can replace cherry tomatoes with regular firm, ripe tomatoes. In addition to the indicated spices, you can use your own to taste, for example, a mixture of Provençal or Italian herbs. You can take the seeds salted or unsalted.
STEP 2

Wash the cherry tomatoes, dry and cut in half. Choose tomatoes that are juicy but firm. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well; during cutting and cooking, they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.
STEP 3

Wash the broccoli and separate it into florets. If you use frozen cabbage, you do not need to defrost it first.
STEP 4

Boil the cabbage in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes until tender. The exact time depends on the size of the inflorescences and the degree of heating.
STEP 5

Place the cabbage in a colander and let the water drain.
STEP 6

Now prepare all the ingredients for the dressing. You can replace the cheese with any soft cheese: feta, sirtaki, Adyghe, cottage cheese, melted cream, etc. You can replace the sour cream with Greek yogurt without additives. The fat content of sour cream does not matter. I have 15%.
STEP 7

Grate the cheese on a medium or fine grater or crumble it with your hands if the consistency of the cheese allows it.
STEP 8

Pass the garlic through a press or chop finely with a knife.
STEP 9

In a bowl, combine sour cream, cheese and garlic. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.
STEP 10

Place boiled broccoli and cherry tomatoes on a platter. Salt the salad if necessary. But since my cheese is quite salty and I took the seeds also salted, I didn’t need to add additional salt to the salad.
STEP 11

Pour the sour cream and cheese sauce over the salad and sprinkle with sunflower seeds. Bon appetit!
