STEP 1

How to make a salad with beef and pickled onions? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash the beef. Pour water into a saucepan and place it on the fire. When the water boils, dip the meat into it, wait until it boils and remove the foam using a strainer or a spoon with holes. Add salt and cook the meat over moderate heat for about 1 hour 20 minutes. Remove the finished meat from the pan and let cool.
STEP 2

Disassemble the cooled meat into fibers with your hands.

Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings. Transfer it to a small deep bowl and pour boiling water to the edges of the bowl, pour 9% vinegar (2 tablespoons) into it. Leave the onions to marinate for 30 minutes. During this time, the bitterness should leave it.
STEP 4

How to make salad dressing? Pour refined vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it a little over medium heat, add chopped garlic and fry for 1 minute while stirring. Garlic can be finely chopped with a knife or grated on a coarse grater. Add tomato paste and simmer all together for 3 minutes while stirring. The dressing is ready. STEP 5

Transfer the meat to a suitable sized bowl. Drain the liquid from the onion and add it to the meat. Stir.
STEP 6

Add still hot (!) tomato dressing, salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well again. To fully prepare the salad, you need to give it time to soak - let it stand in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving. During this time, you can stir it several more times. Serve the salad with boiled beef and onions, garnishing it with herbs if desired.
