Salad Star with saury for February 23

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Boil vegetables and eggs, cool, peel. Grate the vegetables on a coarse grater. Divide the eggs into whites and yolks. And grate separately on a fine grater.
STEP 2

Place lettuce leaves in a large flat plate as a base and garnish for the salad. Place grated potatoes in the first layer, giving it a star shape. This will take most of the cooked potatoes; a smaller part should be left for the next layer.
STEP 3

Open the jar of saury, place 2/3 of the jar without juice in a separate bowl and mash with a fork. Place the fish on a layer of potatoes, maintaining the star shape.
STEP 4

Place the remaining potatoes in the next layer. And although there is quite a bit of it for a layer, it is quite enough to partially cover the fish and pour it all over with three teaspoons of fish juice from a jar. You will need less mayonnaise.
STEP 5

Next layer of carrots. This layer should be greased with a small amount of mayonnaise. This is a matter of taste; some people like salads with more of it, others with less. Therefore, you can coat the layers to your liking.
STEP 6

Then carefully place the finely grated egg white on top of the laid out carrots, trying to cover all the carrots. Also grease this layer with mayonnaise.
STEP 7

The last layer is the yolk. Distribute it according to the star. If possible, sprinkle the side walls as well. Decorate at your discretion. You can get creative with decorations. Lay out, for example, not only the number 23, but also all the side walls with pomegranate seeds. Bon appetit! Happy Defender of the Fatherland!
