STEP 1
How to make cookies from rye flour with cinnamon? Prepare your food. Take natural, high-quality, tasty honey. The taste of the cookies will largely depend on this.
STEP 2
If your honey, like mine, is thick and candied, then melt it in a water bath; just heat the liquid honey.
STEP 3
Combine honey with egg and soda. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush.
STEP 4
Add ground cinnamon.
STEP 5
Add 150 g of flour.
STEP 6
Knead the dough, adding flour if necessary. Be prepared that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. It should become homogeneous and not sticky.
STEP 7
Roll out the dough into a layer about 5 mm thick. If necessary, sprinkle the table with flour.
STEP 8
Cut out figures from the dough. Or just cut into diamonds.
STEP 9
For sprinkling, combine sugar with cinnamon and mix. Instead of regular sugar, you can use brown sugar - it will be even tastier.
STEP 10
Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment, sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes at 180°C. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. Cool the finished cookies a little and serve with milk or tea. Bon appetit!
