How to make royal tomatoes for the winter? Wash the jars and lids well and sterilize them in a way convenient for you. I prefer to do this in the oven. I put clean lids and jars in a cold oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees and leave for 20-25 minutes. At the bottom of the jar, place a bay leaf, chopped garlic, cloves, an umbrella of dill and a ring of hot pepper. Read about preparations and sterilization in the articles at the end of the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

I chose small, strong, pink tomatoes with thick skin for pickling. Tomatoes need to be chosen in such a size that it is equally convenient to place them in the jar and remove them from it. Rinse the tomatoes, tear off the stems and make three or four punctures with a toothpick at this point. This will help keep the tomatoes juicy and protect their skin from the effects of boiling water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the pepper, remove films and veins, cut into small pieces. Place tomatoes and peppers tightly in jars.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour boiling water, cover with a sterile lid and leave until completely cool.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Then drain the water from the jar into a saucepan, add salt and sugar, place on the stove, stirring, bring to a boil, and finally add vinegar.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the hot marinade into a jar, roll it up with a sterile lid, turn the jar over, wrap it in a warm towel and leave until it cools completely. Then store it in a cool place - a cellar or refrigerator. That's all, royally marinated tomatoes are ready for the winter! Good luck with your preparations and bon appetit!

Tomatoes and bell peppers are made for each other. Any recipes with them will be successful. I also seal bell peppers with carrots and tomatoes this way, I recommend it.

I had some strong yellow and red tomatoes. I wanted to pack up a jar of beautiful royal tomatoes for the winter. For extra beauty, I added carrots, cut with a curly knife. I put the garlic in large cloves, my daughter loves it very much. I also added a couple of small leaves of horseradish and black currant to the jar. I had sprigs of dry coriander, which I also added to the jar. The marinade turned out quite sweet, which is what I needed. I have a two-liter jar, so I increased the amount of marinade. Having soaked up such a sweet, spicy marinade, the tomatoes will certainly turn out very tasty, and at the same time, the rest of the vegetables too! Now I’ll try replacing some of the sugar with honey, I think it will turn out even more flavorful.
