  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make roast pork with potatoes and mushrooms in pots? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Pork meat can be taken from any part. It is advisable to choose a piece with less fat, since when cooked, the broth turns out to be already very rich. I will use fresh champignons as mushrooms. But they can be replaced with any others of your choice. Peel and rinse the vegetables.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the meat into small pieces. Heat the frying pan until hot, pour a little vegetable oil on it and place the meat. Fry it over high heat for literally 2-3 minutes until it changes color. Salt the meat a little and sprinkle with spices.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the fried meat in ceramic baking pots. If the meat is not lightly fried first, then when baked it will stick together into one mass and will not be very appetizing.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the onions and carrots and rinse them to remove dirt. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and finely chop the onion. After the meat, fry the onions and carrots in the same frying pan for a couple of minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the champignons thoroughly, dry and cut into slices. Place the chopped champignons in the pan with the vegetables. Stir and fry everything together for 3-5 minutes. Salt it a little. During frying, the champignons will shrink slightly in size.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the fried mushrooms with onions and carrots in pots on top of the meat. Place potatoes cut into small pieces on top. Pour some water into each pot. There is no need to top it up completely, otherwise it will boil over the top. Fill no more than half the pot.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cover the pots with lids and place in a cold oven. Then turn on the oven to 180 degrees and leave the pots in it for 1 hour. Be guided by your oven. If the pots are placed directly into a hot oven, then the temperature change may cause them to crack. And so the pots will warm up along with the oven.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

After this time, turn off the oven and open the door slightly. Let the pots sit in the cooling oven for a while. 20-30 minutes will be enough. The roast can be served immediately in pots or put the contents on a plate. Bon appetit!

Taking the recipe for roast pork with potatoes in pots with mushrooms as a basis, I made roast in pots with chicken. I cut it into pieces, quickly fried it in vegetable oil and put it in pots (I had two 0.5 liter pots). I fried the onions and carrots, then added forest mushrooms to the vegetables (I took them instead of champignons), fried everything for 5 minutes, then put it in the same pots. Added potatoes and salt on top. For spices I used Provençal herbs. I took hot water and poured in a little more than half the pot. Since the chicken cooks quickly, I kept the pots in the oven for 40 minutes, not an hour, as in the recipe. This was enough for the meat, vegetables and mushrooms to stew until soft. There was quite a lot of broth left, so the roast turned out very juicy, just the way I like it, with a rich taste and wonderful aroma! Thank you very much for the recipe!

I recently ate this kind of roast meat and potatoes in pots at a restaurant. But the ingredients included bell pepper, which added a special taste to the dish. If I ever decide to cook this roast at home, I’ll definitely add bell peppers!

You offered a very simple and universal recipe: whether for a holiday or for every day. I have prepared such a dish, it turns out very tasty, and is easy and quick to prepare. Only I put the food in the pot in a different order: 1 - carrots and onions, 2 - potatoes, because... it takes longer to cook than meat, 3 - meat, 4 - mushrooms. I only poured water to cover the potatoes, it was all absorbed and there was no need to drain anything. In 1 hour it has time to cook at 180 degrees. And 10 minutes before it was ready, I sprinkled it with grated cheese and finished cooking it without the lids; it turned out to be a beautiful crispy crust. It also tastes great with chicken.

The meat turns out juicy and not dry at all. The taste can be adjusted using seasonings that you are used to, or completely new ones, because in cooking there is always room for bold experiments. I made roast pork and potatoes in pots with mushrooms using this recipe, and it will definitely become one of our favorites. Thank you!

Eat a pot like this and all your problems will seem like nonsense, it’s so delicious! Roast pork with potatoes and mushrooms is very tasty in ceramic pots. There is a minimum of effort required, in my opinion, the oven does everything in the end. And the aroma in the kitchen is something! I am very glad that I found such a miracle as this recipe!

Hello! I made this roast according to your recipe and it turned out delicious! I saw in the comments that they add bell pepper, so I decided to add that too. I slightly changed the order of laying out the vegetables. First potatoes, then a mixture of onions, carrots, mushrooms and peppers with meat together. I poured water over the potatoes, so it turned out to be about half the pot. I baked for an hour and a half, since the oven is old, maybe next time I’ll try 10-20 minutes less. And I'm thinking of adding grated cheese.
