Quick breakfast of pita bread in a frying pan

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make a quick breakfast of pita bread in a frying pan? Prepare your food. I used ready-made thin round flatbreads, but you can take regular thin pita bread and cut out three circles with a diameter equal to the frying pan. I have sliced ham, but just a piece will do. It will need to be cut into plates or cubes, as you prefer.
STEP 2

Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into slices.
STEP 3

Bell pepper - cubes.
STEP 4

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese is suitable for this dish - hard, semi-hard, soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.
STEP 5

Beat the eggs into a bowl. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Pour milk into them, add salt and pepper to taste. Using a fork, beat everything together until smooth.
STEP 6

Heat a frying pan (mine is 24cm in diameter) over medium heat. Pour a little vegetable oil on it for frying and, if desired, throw in a cube of butter. Butter will give the dish a pleasant taste, and by adding vegetable oil it will not burn. Pour half of the egg mixture into the pan.
STEP 7

Place pita bread on top of it. Place pieces of ham, tomato slices and pepper cubes on the pita bread. You can also add any herbs and garlic to the filling. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the vegetables. Cover the filling with the second circle of pita bread.
STEP 8

Place ham, tomato and pepper on top and sprinkle with cheese. Cover with the third pita bread. Press with your palm. Fill everything with the rest of the omelette mixture.
STEP 9

Fry the resulting “pie” under the lid over low heat for 5-7 minutes. The bottom layer should be browned. Turn the stuffed pita bread over to the other side. It’s convenient to use a plate - first remove breakfast onto it, and then return the pita bread from the plate to the frying pan, turning it over.
STEP 10

Cover the pan again with a lid and cook breakfast for a couple more minutes. Remove the finished pita bread to a plate or board and serve, cutting into portions. Bon appetit!
