    STEP 1

How to bake pumpkin in the oven with honey? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use any type of pumpkin. Depending on the variety and sweetness of the pumpkin, you can adjust the honey to taste. You can replace honey with sugar or vanilla sugar. If you wish, you can omit the orange at all.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the orange thoroughly and dry. Using a grater, remove a thin layer of zest, being careful not to touch the white bitter layer. Then cut the fruit in half and squeeze the juice from one half.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

In a bowl, mix honey, vegetable oil, orange juice and zest. Mix everything until smooth. If the honey is candied, first melt and cool it.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the pumpkin from seeds and peel. Cut into not very thick slices. If desired, you can cut into large cubes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the pumpkin slices in a bowl. Pour in the honey-orange marinade and mix thoroughly.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the pumpkin in a baking dish in a single layer. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake the pumpkin for 30-40 minutes or a little longer until soft. The exact baking time depends on the type of pumpkin and the size of the slices.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

While the pumpkin is baking, lightly toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Transfer the finished pumpkin to a plate. Pour over the juice released during baking and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve, garnished with star anise and mint. Bon appetit!

For dessert I prepared pumpkin baked in the oven with honey according to this recipe. I had a big pumpkin and needed to use it somewhere. Baking is the easiest and fastest way to prepare it. I made the slices of medium thickness so that they would bake but not fall apart. When I squeezed the juice for the sauce, some of the pulp fell into the bowl and when baked it turned out very unusual and tasty. Next time I’ll peel the membranes off the slices and chop the pulp into a sauce. The zest also added texture, and what a aroma! I rolled the pumpkin pieces in the sauce and placed them in a mold. It seems to me that it would be more convenient to do this right away in a mold or on a flat plate. Bake for 50 minutes at 200°C. The pieces became soft, but held their shape well. You can start checking after half an hour, because pumpkin comes in different varieties, density and degree of ripeness. I didn't add sesame. Surprisingly, this sauce made my not-so-sweet pumpkin taste amazing! The taste of the pumpkin itself is mixed with the taste of honey and orange. This is a gorgeous combination! And during baking, the pieces were covered with a light caramel crust. I recommend everyone to try it!

A very healthy recipe for baked pumpkin with honey, full of vitamins! You can also give it to children. I’ll take note, I’ll try to cook it for my grandson, I think the vitamins will be useful. And not everyone likes pumpkin among adults, but you can diversify it with fruits and not necessarily apples. You could probably add pears too. think about what other fruits will go together.

A great option for baked pumpkin in the oven with honey! I took it to my place, but added 50 grams of honey (you can dilute it in some water and pour this honey syrup over it). The calorie content immediately decreased significantly (this is for those who don’t really want and can eat sweets). Thank you !
