  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make potato pancakes with milk? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel the potatoes using a vegetable peeler and rinse under running water. Peel the onion with a sharp knife and rinse with cold water to prevent your eyes from watering. Peel the garlic. Cut the peeled onions and potatoes into pieces.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the onion, peeled garlic clove and potatoes in a blender. Add a little milk from the total amount to make it easier to chop. Beat everything well until smooth.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

From the blender, pour the entire resulting mass into the bowl in which you will prepare the pancake dough. Add eggs to the potato mixture. Wash the eggs first, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then pour in the remaining milk and vegetable oil. Then add the flour, which must first be sifted. Mix everything well so that there are no lumps. Remember that you may need less or more flour, you can read more about this in the article, the link to it is at the end of the recipe.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Grate the hard cheese on a medium grater directly into the dough. Take any cheese, as long as it is fresh, tasty and without added vegetable fats. Wash the greens in running water, dry, finely chop and add to the dough. You can use any greens you like, I used dill.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Stir cheese and herbs into dough. The dough for potato pancakes in a frying pan should have a runny consistency. If necessary, add a little more milk or water.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour a little batter into a hot pancake pan, spread it over the pan in a circular motion and fry for 1-3 minutes. over medium heat. Then turn the pancake over with a spatula and fry on the other side until golden brown. Place the finished raw potato pancakes on a plate and cover with a lid. They will steam together and will be very soft. Serve the finished potato pancakes with sour cream. Bon appetit!

Today I'm baking potato pancakes. This is my first time trying this recipe. There were fears that it would not be possible to bake thin pancakes from such dough or that due to the presence of cheese they would stick to the pan. Nothing of the sort happened. The pancakes turn out thin, tender, and turn over perfectly. The aroma when baking is incredibly appetizing! Delicious! Potato pancakes will be especially appreciated by potato pancake lovers))) I added a little salt to the dough, since the cheese had a fairly neutral taste, and added dill from the herbs. I served pancakes with sour cream, but then I remembered that there were a few pieces of lightly salted herring left in the refrigerator; the combination of potato pancakes with salted fish turned out to be amazingly tasty! Thanks for the recipe, Julia M.!

The other day I made potato pancakes using this recipe. Recently I accidentally came across a video with such pancakes, the author suggested preparing the filling for them with red fish. I imagined that it must be very tasty, because our family loves pancakes))) I don’t always trust untested recipes, of which there are a lot on the Internet now. I decided to look on our website for a recipe for potato pancakes. I found an excellent recipe from the author, whose recipes I have prepared many times))) I did everything according to the recipe. When I started frying, I realized that I needed to add more milk, since the pancakes were more like potato pancakes. Then I had to add some flour again. In the end, I found the right dough consistency. The pancakes turned out so delicious!!! Very tender, aromatic, with a bright pronounced potato taste. And what was the aroma in the kitchen when I prepared them))) I will definitely make them again. Maybe next time I’ll come up with some kind of filling. Thanks to the author for the recipe. I recommend to everyone! Here is my photo report)))
