Pork on the bone

Juicy pork with a slight aroma of ginger, garlic and a hint of sweetness. Prepared in 2 stages. The first is marinating. You can do it overnight so you can do it in the morning. Or you can do it in the morning or at lunchtime to make it for dinner. The second is direct preparation.

Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 5 hr
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

We wash the meat. Use a knife to make random punctures in the meat to marinate better. Rub the meat with spices: salt, a mixture of peppers, dry ginger, dry garlic, dry paprika and sprinkle with lemon juice.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wrap each piece of meat in cling film. Put it in the refrigerator or just in a cool place. For at least 4-5 hours.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the garlic cloves and cut into thin 2 mm slices. We do the same with ginger root.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

While the oven is heating up, fry the meat. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STAGE! Heat a frying pan over high heat and fry the meat on all sides in olive oil with the addition of pre-chopped garlic and ginger. Fry the meat until lightly crusted. At this stage, the meat will absorb the flavors of garlic and ginger.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

When the oven heats up, put the meat and everything in the frying pan in a baking dish, pour a little beer over it and set to cook. Cook the meat for 1-1.5 hours. Here, a lot depends on the thickness of the pieces of meat, its toughness and oven conditions.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

While cooking meat, periodically pour beer over it. While the meat is cooking, prepare the sauce for a beautiful crust. To do this, mix 2 tbsp. honey and 2 tbsp. ready mustard. (Taste. The sauce should be spicy-sweet). When the meat is almost ready, pour the resulting sauce over it. Let it form a nice crust and remove from the oven.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

All that remains is to choose a side dish :) Bon appetit!

I have cooked meat on the bone many times, or rather pork. I have fried it in a frying pan and baked it in the oven, but I have never had it as tasty as your recipe! I was the first to wrap marinated meat in film, apparently because of this the pork came out so aromatic and tasty. And ginger gave the dish a special aroma and delicate taste. Thank you very much for the recipe!
