STEP 1

How to make pollock salad? Prepare your food. If the fish is frozen, it must be thawed. Do this at room temperature, gradually. You should not put pollock in water or put it in the microwave - this will worsen the taste of the fish. You can add sour cream to mayonnaise.
STEP 2

The fish must be cleaned and cut into pieces if you have it as a whole carcass. I immediately had steaks. Place pollock in a saucepan and add milk. Cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes after boiling. Add a little salt so that the fish is not bland. But not much, because there will still be salty mayonnaise.

Leave the fish until completely cooled directly in the milk.
STEP 4

At the same time as the fish, cook the carrots. It must be pre-washed, there is no need to clean it. Cook the carrots for about 20 minutes. Then drain the water and cool.
STEP 5

In parallel with all the cooking, peel and cut the onion into half rings.
STEP 6

Fry the onion in vegetable oil over low heat until transparent. Cool.
STEP 7

Once the fish has cooled completely, remove the skin and bones.
STEP 8

Then cut into small pieces.
STEP 9

Peel the cooled carrots and grate them on a coarse grater.
STEP 10

Let's start collecting the salad. The first layer is fish. Lubricate it with mayonnaise.
STEP 11

Next comes a layer of carrots. And again there is mayonnaise on top.
STEP 12

Add fried onions as the last layer. Lubricate with mayonnaise.
STEP 13

Wash the dill thoroughly, dry it, and finely chop it. Decorate the top of the salad as desired. Let the salad soak a little and serve. Bon appetit!
