Pollock onion carrot tomato paste
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make pollock with carrots, onions and tomato paste? Prepare the necessary products. Use unscented vegetable oil. If the fish is frozen, place it in the refrigerator to thaw gradually. This way the fish will better retain its beneficial properties. Read about the correct way to defrost food in the article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 2
Cut the pre-peeled onions into small cubes.
STEP 3
Peel the carrots, wash them, grate them on a coarse grater.
STEP 4
In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the onions over medium heat, stirring, for about 4-5 minutes. The article at the link at the end of the recipe will help you choose a frying pan for cooking.
STEP 5
Add carrots to the pan with the onions. Fry the vegetables until half cooked.
STEP 6
Cut off the fins and tail of the fish. Remove the black film from the belly so that the fish does not taste bitter. Wash pollock thoroughly and dry. Cut the fish into portions.
STEP 7
Add a little salt to the flour and mix. Bread the fish pieces in flour. It is convenient to do this in a regular plastic bag. Pour flour into a bag, place fish pieces in it and shake well.
STEP 8
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Place the pollock pieces and fry over moderately high heat until golden brown on one side.
STEP 9
Then turn the pieces over and fry on the other side until golden brown.
STEP 10
In a bowl, combine tomato paste, sour cream and water, mix well. Add salt to taste, add aromatic herbs or any spices of your choice. If desired, you can increase the amount of sour cream.
STEP 11
Place the fried fish pieces in the pan with the vegetables.
STEP 12
Pour the tomato-sour cream mixture over the fish pieces and bring to a boil. Simmer the fish over low heat for about 15 minutes.
STEP 13
Add bay leaf to the pan. If necessary, turn the pollock pieces over to the other side. Simmer the fish over low heat for another 10 minutes.
STEP 14
Pollock stewed with onions, carrots and tomato paste, served with a side dish of potatoes, cereals or pasta. Bon appetit!
