  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the chicken into pieces and fry in a small amount of vegetable oil in the “Baking” mode for 30 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Fry the onion in a frying pan.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and add to the onion.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the rice several times and add to the chicken. Add carrots and onions. Add salt, add all the spices and add water so that the water covers the rice by about 1 cm. Do not mix! You can pour boiling water over it, then the pilaf will cook faster. Set it to “Pilaf” mode.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

A few minutes before the beep, add the garlic. When the pilaf is ready, you can stir it carefully, but I didn’t stir it because... there was no need for this.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

    Pilaf is ready!

Since purchasing the multicooker, I really wanted to cook pilaf in it. Finally I did it. I cooked pilaf in a slow cooker with chicken breast, so that there was more pulp. I took rice special for pilaf, it holds its shape well. To speed up the cooking process, I fried onions and carrots directly in the multicooker bowl. First I put in the pieces of breast, after 10 minutes I added the vegetables. In total, I finished it in 30 minutes in the “frying” mode. In my multicooker, you can’t set the time in the “pilaf” mode, so I didn’t even know how long to wait for the result) And the question arose when to add garlic. But 10 minutes before the end of cooking, the equipment actually beeped) That’s when I threw a head of fresh, aromatic garlic into the pilaf! I am very pleased with the result, the pilaf turned out to be crumbly and juicy at the same time, all the water was absorbed. Thanks to turmeric, the rice acquired a golden color. And cumin and barberry made it spicy. The aroma of garlic is absolutely indescribable) The pilaf is delicious, like straight from the oven!
