STEP 1

How to make a Guests on the Doorstep pie with apples? Prepare your food. Take a glass with a volume of 200 ml. The amount of flour indicated is approximate, it may take either more or less than the specified amount, you will look at the consistency of the dough.
STEP 2

Wash the eggs, dry them and beat them into a bowl. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Start beating the eggs with a mixer, adding sugar in portions. You can reduce its amount to your liking. Beat the eggs until fluffy and light.
STEP 3

Add baking powder and a pinch of salt to the flour, stir (salt will serve as a flavor enhancer, don’t be afraid to add it to sweet baked goods). Sift most of the flour into the bowl with the egg mixture. Gently mix the flour with a spatula using a digging motion.
STEP 4

The dough should become homogeneous, the consistency of thick sour cream. You can add the remaining flour and a little more if it seems runny.
STEP 5

Wash the apples, cut into quarters and remove the core and seeds. Cut them into slices.
STEP 6

Take a suitable baking dish. If it is not silicone, then grease the mold with a small amount of butter and sprinkle with flour to prevent the cake from sticking. Place apple slices on the bottom. I have a ring shape, I put half of it. Place the entire amount into a regular pan so that the apples occupy the entire bottom.
STEP 7

Pour the batter over the apples, in my case it would be half a portion. Lay out another row of apples. Spread pieces of butter evenly on them. If you bake in a flat pan, put butter on all the apples at once.
STEP 8

Pour the remaining dough into the mold.
STEP 9

Bake the pie in the oven, preheated to 180°C, for 30 to 40 minutes. The exact time will depend on the size of the cake and your oven. Check doneness with a wooden skewer - it will come out dry from the center. Remove the cake from the oven and cool slightly, then release from the pan.
STEP 10

Serve the apple pie to the table. Bon appetit!
