Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make pickled horseradish for the winter at home? very simple! Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will learn all the details of preparations for the winter by reading the article at the end of this recipe.
STEP 2

Wash the horseradish thoroughly with a brush, peel and grind in a meat grinder. The smell is very pungent, some people put a bag on the meat grinder with a bowl, while others go to the balcony or to the street. If you use chili pepper, grind it with horseradish, there will be pieces, or in the next step with beets, so that the juice comes out, there will be less spiciness. It is better to wear gloves when working with chili peppers, as they can burn the skin of your hands.
STEP 3

Wash the beets with a brush, peel them, cut them into large pieces and also grind them in a meat grinder. Place the chopped beets in a sieve and allow the juices to drain. We will need beet juice.
STEP 4

Place the horseradish in a clean jar or other convenient container.
STEP 5

Pour the chopped horseradish with water and beet juice, mix well.
STEP 6

Add salt, sugar and vinegar to the beets and horseradish. Stir, and now the horseradish can be placed in sterile jars, rolled up and stored in a cool place until winter. You can choose the sterilization method that suits you by reading a separate article. There is a link to it at the end of this recipe. You can eat this snack within a day. Bon appetit!
