Pickled cucumbers with cherry tomatoes

STEP 1
How to make an assortment of pickled cucumbers and cherry tomatoes for the winter? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. Instead of horseradish leaves, you can add dill umbrellas, cherry or currant leaves. If you wish, you can also add peppercorns or some fresh hot peppers to the jars.
STEP 2
Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and soak in cold water for a couple of hours to get rid of any bitterness.

Rinse the jars well with soda and sterilize them along with the lids. Place peeled garlic, washed horseradish leaves and bay leaves on the bottom of the jars.
STEP 4
Next, lay out the cucumbers, preferably they should be small in size, then they will fit well in the jars and look beautiful.
STEP 5
Wash the cherry tomatoes and place them in jars to the top.
STEP 6
Fill the jars with boiling water, doing this gradually so that the jars do not crack. Cover the jars with lids and leave to steep for 15-20 minutes. Then drain the water into the sink.
STEP 7
Pour salt and sugar into jars. I used 3 700 ml jars. That is, one jar contained a third of a cup. spoons of salt and 1 tbsp. spoon of sugar. Fill the jars to the top with boiling water a second time, add a third of a teaspoon of essence to each jar and roll up the lids.
STEP 8
Turn the jars upside down and cover with something warm, leave until completely cool, about 1-2 days. Then turn it over and store it in a cool place. Bon appetit!
