Penne pasta in sauce with ham and broccoli

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
The ingredients we need. To make the whole cooking process take as little time as possible, I advise you to start by getting two saucepans, one large - we will cook the pasta in it, the second small - we will cook the broccoli in it. Fill each saucepan with water and put it on the fire. As soon as the water boils in a large saucepan, salt it thoroughly and add the pasta and cook until al dente, or to put it more simply, do not overcook the pasta!
STEP 2
We separate the broccoli into small florets.
STEP 3
Boil in boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 4
Finely chop the white part of the green onion.
STEP 5
Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Add chopped onion (you can also add chopped garlic clove if you wish) and fry over medium heat for 2 minutes.
STEP 6
Add chopped ham to the onion. Stir and fry for 2 minutes.
STEP 7
And add boiled broccoli florets. Fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
STEP 8
Pour in cream and 0.5 tbsp. up to 1 tbsp. pasta broth (choose the amount of pasta liquid to your taste, but there should be a lot of sauce so that the pasta does not turn out dry). Bring the sauce to a boil and cook for 3-5 minutes.
STEP 9
Add chopped fresh basil leaves and a handful of grated cheese (preferably Parmesan) to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes and remove the sauce from the heat.
STEP 10
Mix the boiled pasta with the resulting sauce, heat on fire for 1 minute and serve.
