  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the products according to the list. My pasta is “butterflies” made from durum wheat. The amount of garlic is at your discretion.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First of all, boil the pasta. Prepare according to the instructions on the package. I boil it until tender, not al dente, because then I just heat it in the sauce.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or saucepan, cut the onion into small cubes, and fry until soft.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Garlic. Many people simply heat garlic in oil and then throw it away, resulting in garlic-flavored oil. I suggest passing the garlic cloves through a press, adding them to the onions and frying. It will be very aromatic and tasty - cream with garlic gives an amazing taste!

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

When the vegetables are fried until soft, add the cream. Fat content is at your discretion. If the cream is 10-12% fat, heat it for literally half a minute so that it does not curdle. If the fat content is above 20%, heat for 2-3 minutes over low heat, stirring.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce - it will add flavor to our sauce and highlight the taste of the mussels. If you don't like soy sauce, you can omit it. Heat with sauce for another 1 minute.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

If you have fresh frozen mussels, you do not need to defrost them; add them directly to the sauce, stir and cook for 7 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Then add the cooked pasta to our sauce with mussels, mix and heat for literally 1-2 minutes so that the pasta is well soaked in the sauce.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

    The dish is ready!

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

For the taste and structure of the dish, I suggest sprinkling grated cheese on top of the pasta.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Pasta with mussels is ready! Serve hot with fresh vegetables. A delicious and nutritious lunch is ready in just a short time.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Cook for your health, bon appetit!

The pasta turned out very tasty and tender. Since the recipe said that you can use any pasta, I decided to boil tagliatelle instead of bows. As for the sauce, it turned out really very creamy, however, I used cream of different fat content: 33% and 10%, simply because this cream was available at home, and I was too lazy to run to the store. I made another adjustment: instead of hard cheese, I added grated Parmesan. I think it suits this dish much better. The tagliatelle with mussels turned out to be a solid A+!
