STEP 1

How to make a banana cupcake in the microwave in a mug? Prepare your food. Take a banana that is as ripe as possible, preferably even an overripe one - it is softer and more aromatic. Instead of honey, you can put regular sugar, use the amount to taste.
STEP 2

You can prepare the cake dough immediately in the mug in which you plan to bake it. Take a large volume, as the cake rises a lot and can run away. I knead in another bowl. Peel the banana and break it into small pieces. Mash it with a fork until pureed. If there are some pieces left, don’t worry – the cake will turn out more interesting.
STEP 3

Add an egg to the banana. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Mix banana with egg.
STEP 4

Pour in milk, add honey. If you have thick candied honey, warm it up a little in the microwave, it will become thinner. Stir.
STEP 5

Mix flour with baking powder. If you are at home, sift it. If you don't have this option, then leave it like that. Pour the flour into the dough in portions, stirring after each portion until the lumps disappear. The dough should become like flowing sour cream, do not make it thicker - the cake will turn out dry. It may take more or less flour than the specified amount.
STEP 6

Pour the dough into a mug. It turns out quite a lot, my mug volume is 370 ml. You can take two small ones. I have a mug with a wide top, the cupcake did not run away much. If the dough is narrow-necked, it may spill out during baking; fill it to 2/3 of the volume.
STEP 7

Cook the cake in the microwave at 800W for 2-4 minutes or more (depend on your microwave). Check readiness with a wooden skewer - it will come out dry from the middle.
STEP 8

Serve the cake to the table; you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
