To be honest, I’ve never heard before that you can cook meat and potatoes in a jar in the oven. I made this interesting dish to try. I took a two-liter jar with a wide neck. I cut the potatoes into medium pieces. Then it turned out well boiled. If you want whole pieces, then cut coarsely. I didn’t have whole carrots, only grated ones. I added it to the pork and onion, cut into half rings. I seasoned everything with paprika and black pepper. Then I mashed it well with my hand so that the vegetables released their juice and marinated the meat. I put everything in the jar in layers, it turned out to be three layers of potatoes and meat. The potato layer was lightly salted. I’ll warn you right away that it’s better to lubricate the jar with vegetable oil, it will be easier to clean). I baked my unusual dish from ordinary ingredients on the bottom shelf for two hours at 180°C. It's a little difficult to get a hot jar out. I wrapped it in a damp towel and a dry one on top, so the jar wouldn't slip out of my hands. To my surprise, the potatoes and meat turned out amazingly delicious! The meat became like stew, very soft. It tastes a little sweet, it’s the carrots that have given up their juice. The potatoes turned out fluffy and boiled well. During baking, the amount of liquid rose to the middle of the jar. I would initially add a little water for juiciness. I just love potato sauce. I really liked this method of preparation! I recommend!

I’ve never cooked meat and potatoes in a jar in the oven before, I did it today for the first time. But how delicious it is! I prepared it according to the recipe. Having filled the jar with prepared products, covered it with foil and placed it in a cold oven. I set the temperature to 200°. After 40 minutes, I looked into the oven and there was a vigorous boil at the bottom of the jar. After another 10 minutes I saw that the boil had engulfed almost the entire jar. Calm reigned only in its upper part. I reduced the heat in the oven a little - to 180°. I kept the meat and potatoes in the oven for about 2 hours. Then I turned off the oven and let the jar cool a little. It turned out very tasty! You can eat the meat with your lips - it’s so soft! And it tastes like stew. The potatoes became very soft and crumbly. I really liked the dish! I recommend everyone to try it! Thank you very much!
