Mashed potatoes with chicken in the oven

STEP 1

To prepare mashed potatoes, peel the required amount of potatoes. Rinse it under running water. If the potatoes are large, cut them in half. Fill with water and set to warm up. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are ready. Salt the potatoes a little while cooking. You can check the readiness of the potatoes by pricking them with a knife. If it is ready, it is easily pierced and jumps off the knife.
STEP 2

Drain the water from the finished potatoes. Add butter to it. Start kneading it and gradually add warm milk.
STEP 3

Mash the potatoes to the desired consistency and stir in the egg.
STEP 4

At the same time as cooking the potatoes, take care of the chicken. Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces of approximately the same size.
STEP 5

Fry them in a hot frying pan until golden brown.
STEP 6

Peel, wash and finely chop the onion.
STEP 7

Add chopped onion to the fried chicken meat. Mix everything well and fry everything together for a few minutes. Salt the meat a little and add a little spice.
STEP 8

Then pour cream into the frying pan with the meat, add chopped garlic and finely chopped dill. Mix everything well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
STEP 9

Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Then sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
STEP 10

Spread mashed potatoes halfway up the baking dish. Flatten with a spatula.
STEP 11

Add all the chicken filling. Spread evenly throughout the mashed potatoes.
STEP 12

Sprinkle generously with grated cheese on top. Place the pan in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
STEP 13

Serve the finished dish hot. Bon appetit!
