Marinated chicken in kefir in the oven

STEP 1

How to bake marinated chicken in kefir in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list.
STEP 2

Wash the chicken, pat dry with a paper towel and cut into portions. Place the chicken in a suitable sized bowl or pan.
STEP 3

Salt and pepper the chicken to taste. It is better to add a little salt, since the marinade will contain soy sauce, and it is known to have a certain degree of saltiness. You don't have to add salt at all.
STEP 4

Add honey to the chicken. It is better to use liquid honey. Sugared will also do. Before adding this honey should be heated in a steam bath.
STEP 5

Peel the garlic cloves and pass through a press. Add garlic to the chicken.

Add soy sauce.

Pour kefir over the chicken, mix well so that every piece of chicken is in the marinade. Place the chicken in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes. More can be done if time permits. Turn on the oven to 200 degrees in advance.

Place the chicken in a heatproof dish or on a baking sheet and pour over the marinade. If desired, the chicken can be placed on a bed of potatoes, then you will immediately have a complete, self-sufficient dish. Cover the chicken with foil or a lid and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 1-1.5 hours. The exact time depends on the oven itself. You can check if the chicken is done by making a cut in the meat: clear liquid should ooze out.
STEP 9

If you want the chicken to get an appetizing crust, remove the foil 10-15 minutes before it’s ready and bake the chicken without it. Serve the finished chicken with potatoes or other favorite side dish. Bon appetit!
