STEP 1

Prepare food. The butter should be soft and at room temperature.
STEP 2

Place the cottage cheese in a deep bowl, add sugar, salt, vanilla, orange zest and grind well. Add soft butter, egg - stir.
STEP 3

Add fresh lemon juice and stir.
STEP 4

Gradually add flour sifted with baking powder. When it becomes difficult to stir in the bowl, put the dough on the table and knead well, but not for long. The dough is not sticky, there is no need to dust the flour.
STEP 5

This is how the dough will turn out, quite soft.
STEP 6

Divide the dough in half, wrap in film and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
STEP 7

Then roll it out, the thickness is about 6 - 7 mm. Cut out the cookies.
STEP 8

Dip the top of each in sugar and press lightly so that it does not crumble.
STEP 9

Place on a baking sheet / I have a mat underneath /. You will get two large baking sheets.
STEP 10

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees in advance, bake until golden brown / for me 19 - 20 minutes /. You can easily overexpose it, keep an eye on it. Cover the finished cookies directly on the baking sheet with a cotton towel, and also finish baking the rest of the cookies.
