Separate the whites from the yolks

First beat the whites with a pinch of salt into a thick foam. It takes me about 5 minutes.

Then add the yolks, baking powder, sugar and mix well.
STEP 5

Without ceasing to beat, gradually add flour. It is better to replace the whisks with dough blades - it mixes better. The dough should have the same consistency as pancakes.

Grease a cake pan with margarine and sprinkle with flour.
STEP 7

Pour the dough into a baking dish and place in a preheated oven to 170-180 degrees. Bake for 40-50 minutes.

Cut the biscuit into 3-4 pieces.

Let's prepare the lemon cream. First you need to scald the lemons with boiling water. Rub the skin off the lemons using a fine grater and squeeze out the juice.

Pour water into a saucepan, add margarine, lemon peels, sugar and bring to a boil. Pour in lemon juice and potato starch, previously diluted in a small amount of cold water, stirring constantly so that no lumps form.

When the cream takes on the consistency of thick jelly, let it simmer for a few seconds and remove from heat.

Spread the biscuit with still warm cream.

The frosted cake can be decorated with coconut shavings. It turns out very tasty. But I didn’t have any coconut flakes and so I poured chocolate fudge on the cake))).

To prepare fudge, place margarine, sugar, cocoa in a saucepan and add water. Stirring constantly, cook over low heat for about 7 minutes. If the fudge turns out too clear or too sparse, add more cocoa.

Cool the fondant. It is advisable to stir from time to time to prevent a crust from forming.
STEP 16

Spread the cake with fondant and let it soak for several hours. Bon appetit )).
