STEP 1
How to bake an Italian 12 spoon pie in the oven? Prepare the following ingredients. I took the eggs and milk out of the refrigerator half an hour beforehand. I took eggs of category C1, milk 3.2% fat, premium wheat flour, I took spoons of flour with a small heap. Sift the flour so that it is saturated with oxygen. This will make the finished pie more tender and airy.
STEP 2
Turn on the oven to preheat at 180 degrees. Break the washed chicken eggs into a deep bowl, add a pinch of salt and sugar. Beat the mixture until light in color with a mixer or whisk.
STEP 3
Wash the lemon and dry with a towel. Using a fine grater, remove the zest from the lemon and squeeze the juice from half the fruit. Add milk, vegetable oil, lemon zest and juice to the bowl with eggs. Stir until the ingredients are combined.
STEP 4
Add pre-sifted flour and baking powder to the dough and mix with a whisk until the ingredients are combined. Bubbles will appear on the surface of the dough from the reaction of the lemon with the baking powder. The consistency of the dough is homogeneous, flowing in a dense mass from a spoon, similar to thick pancake batter. If necessary, you can add a little more flour to achieve the desired dough consistency.
STEP 5
Prepare a pie pan, I took a 20 x 20 cm ceramic pan. Grease the pan with vegetable oil on all sides and sprinkle with flour, shake off any remaining residue. Pour the dough into the pan and place in a preheated oven for 30 - 35 minutes, check for doneness with a wooden skewer - it should come out dry from the middle of the cake. The exact time depends on the features of your oven.
STEP 6
Remove the finished pie from the oven and let it cool in the pan. Then cut it into portions and serve with a glass of milk, a cup of tea, or coffee. When serving, the pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
