Italian crostata pie
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
1. How to bake an Italian crostata pie? Prepare all products. Sift the wheat flour, separate the yolks from the whites. The pan for baking crostata must be dry and clean.

2. Remove the butter from the refrigerator, cut into pieces and place in a blender. Add salt and wheat flour, stir the products.

3. Pour granulated sugar into the main mass. Grind the mixture until smooth.

4. Then add the yolks, stir the dough first in a blender.

5. Then transfer the buttery mass onto a board sprinkled with flour. Knead soft elastic dough. Turn on the oven, preheat it to 180 degrees.

6. Pinch off a piece of dough for decoration. Roll out the main part into a layer, place it in a mold and make sides. To make the cake easy to remove, it is recommended to place strips of parchment paper in the pan.

7. Prick the dough with a fork, then spread the apple jam in an even layer. For such pies, it is advisable to use thick jam, marmalade or marmalade. If you have jam with a runny consistency, add starch to it.

8. Roll out the remaining dough into a thin oblong cake. Using a special knife, make strips approximately 5 mm wide.

9. Place the strips over the filling, forming a pattern. Place the pie in the oven; it bakes for approximately 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
STEP 10
10. Cool the cake, carefully remove from the pan and place on a plate. Cut the crostata into pieces with a sharp knife and serve. Bon appetit!
