    STEP 1

How to cook boiled-frozen shrimp? Prepare the necessary ingredients. The shrimp should be approximately the same size, whole, the ice coat should not be thick, otherwise the shrimp will lose a lot of weight during the defrosting process. Typically, shrimp on sale are already pre-boiled, so they cook quite quickly.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour water into a suitable sized saucepan and place on fire. For 1 kilogram of shrimp you will need at least 2 liters of water. Rinse the shrimp under warm water to get rid of excess dirt, broken antennae and legs, as well as ice.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

When the water boils, add an umbrella of dried dill to the water. Instead of an umbrella, you can take fresh dill, seeds, or not use it at all.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add salt. You will need quite a lot of it - 40-45 g per 1 liter of water.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add spices to taste. Cloves, black and allspice are perfect.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

When the water with spices boils, add the prepared shrimp to the pan and bring to a boil again.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes. Crustacean meat is very tender and, if overcooked, it will turn out to be tough.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

To clean the shrimp better, rinse them under cold water.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Sprinkle the finished shrimp with lemon juice.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

    Bon appetit!

I have never been faced with the question of how to cook boiled-frozen shrimp. It seemed to me that there was no secret in this. But when I saw this recipe on the website, I became interested. Firstly, I learned for myself that it is better to wash shrimp with cold water before cooking to get rid of ice and debris in the form of broken antennae and legs. Secondly, it was surprising to me that for one liter of water you need to add as much as 45 grams salt. When preparing 1 kg of shrimp according to this recipe, I poured 90 grams of salt. To be honest, I thought I would over-salt it. But no, this made the taste of the shrimp even brighter. I didn’t have a dill umbrella, I put a bay leaf instead. Thank you very much for the recipe! The shrimp turned out much tastier than usual.

Shrimp, on their own, is very tasty, but if cooked correctly, it will become even tastier. It's no secret that shrimp are not cheap. In order not to spoil them and not throw money away, I used a recipe for how to cook boiled and frozen shrimp. Cooked for a short time. Added salt, spices and lemon. Ready shrimp on a plate, poured lemon juice over them. It's a pity that there was no dill umbrella. I can imagine the additional aroma and taste that would reign. Next time, I will definitely correct this situation. Thanks for the recipe!
