Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr 20 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Sauce. To prepare the sauce we will need: tomato paste, fresh basil, a mixture of freshly ground peppers.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the basil, dry and finely chop. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried ones.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Combine tomato paste with basil and a mixture of peppers. Stir until smooth.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Filling. For the filling we will need: mozzarella for pizza, cherry tomatoes and raw smoked sausage (I used salami).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cut the mozzarella into thin slices.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Wash cherry tomatoes, dry and cut into slices.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Also cut the salami into thin slices.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Dough. To prepare pizza dough we will need: flour, eggs, water (boiling water), olive oil and salt.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Sift the flour into a heap. Add salt to the sifted flour.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Make a well in the center and pour boiling water into it.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Knead the stiff dough. Add eggs and olive oil. Continue kneading the dough until it stops sticking to your hands.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Divide the finished dough into 2 equal parts. You don't have to separate if you want to make a large pizza for the entire pan.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Roll each piece into a circle and form each circle into a heart shape. I do this using the bottom of a springform pan. I simply place it on the dough and gather the edges around it, forming low sides. Form the second heart from the dough in the same way.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Transfer the resulting pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

    Brush the dough with sauce.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Place mozzarella slices on top of the sauce. You don’t have to chop the mozzarella, but grate it on a coarse grater.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Add slices of tomatoes and sausage. Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes at 180°C. Bon appetit!

I decided to make pizza by kneading the dough in boiling water according to the heart-shaped pizza recipe. I took whole grain and premium wheat flour 1:1. After kneading, the dough turned out soft and manageable. It was easy to work with on siliconized baking paper. For the filling I used sausages and sun-dried tomatoes. Thanks to Maria for the interesting dough recipe. The pizza turned out very tasty!
