  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake hake in the oven with onions and carrots? Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Or use a vegetable cutter with a grater for Korean carrots - it will also turn out interesting.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To avoid hurting my fingers when working with a grater, I always use a regular fork. You just need to firmly prick the carrots onto a fork and grate them carefully, trying not to touch the tip of the grater with the teeth. This way, the manicure will remain intact, as will the fingers, and the piece of carrot that can no longer be safely grated will be minimal.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onion and cut into quarter rings. You can cut it to your taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grease the bottom of the baking sheet (for baking I usually use disposable baking sheets - this is very convenient in terms of saving time on washing dishes) with a drop of vegetable oil. And place a third of the total amount of prepared carrots and onions on a baking sheet.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the hake, dry with paper towels and cut into portions.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Next, place the fish on a baking sheet on top of a bed of carrots and onions. Sprinkle the hake with lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Dilute the sour cream (I always use 10 percent) with water until it becomes more liquid so that it flows freely from a spoon.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place a layer of remaining vegetables on top of the fish. At this point, you can add salt to your taste again, if necessary. Or you can leave it like that, because... There will still be cheese on top. And pour the sour cream mixture on top of the fish and vegetables.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle the fish on top. Place the pan in the oven for about 30 minutes at 200 degrees. Time and temperature are approximate, use your equipment as a guide. Bake until a delicious crust forms.

I was looking for a recipe for cooking fish on the website and found hake in the oven with onions, carrots and sour cream. Only the fish was replaced with pangasius fillet. Baked in a glass dish with a diameter of 22 cm. Two large fillets, cut into pieces, went into two layers. Placed the onions and carrots on the bottom of the pan and sprinkled the fish on top. The fillet was seasoned with fish spices to make it tastier and more aromatic. And I added freshly ground pepper to the mixture of sour cream and water. I didn't sprinkle cheese on it. I baked the fish for 40 minutes at 200°. The fish turned out very tender, sweetish from the carrots. The sour cream sauce soaked and united all the components of the dish. This created a nutritious sauce. This is delicious! I served the fish with rice and the gravy came in handy.
