STEP 1
How to make grilled salmon steak? Prepare your food. It is best to use fresh fish, not frozen. The thickness of the steak should be about 1.5 - 2 cm. If it is larger, the fish will not be fried; if it is thinner, it will be dry. It is best to use coarse sea salt - it is most beneficial for the body. From lemon, we only need lemon juice, so you can use ready-made lemon juice. Or you can replace it with lime juice.
STEP 2
Rinse the steaks well, remove films and anything unnecessary, then dry them and season with salt.
STEP 3
Pour lemon juice over the fish. If you squeeze juice directly from a lemon, wash it with hot water first so that the lemon releases more juice. Also use a sieve to prevent lemon seeds from getting into the fish.
STEP 4
Let the fish sit and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
STEP 5
Meanwhile, heat the coals. These can be either ready-made coals or coals that you have prepared. To do this, light the wood and wait until it burns out. Ideally use birch firewood.
STEP 6
Place fish steaks on the grill grate. The fish fries quite quickly, but you still need to turn the steaks several times to prevent it from burning.
STEP 7
Turn the fish over for the first time about 5 minutes after the start of cooking. Then a couple more times for 5 minutes on each side. During cooking, make sure that the coals smolder and do not suddenly catch fire. Because Salmon is a fairly fatty fish, and fat from the fish dripping onto hot coals can cause a fire.
STEP 8
Serve steaks hot immediately. Bon appetit!
