Shish kebab of chicken hearts on the grill
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to fry shish kebab from chicken hearts on the grill? Prepare all the necessary products. Take chilled hearts - they contain more useful substances than a frozen product. Vegetable oil can be any - sunflower, corn, olive, rapeseed, but it must be refined oil so that the hearts do not burn during cooking.
STEP 2
Wash the chicken hearts, then dry them well. If desired, the chicken hearts can be replaced with the hearts of turkey or some other bird.
STEP 3
Pay special attention to the choice of soy sauce. Now there are a lot of cheap analogues of natural soy sauce, but don’t go by the price. Choose only naturally fermented soy sauce, with a minimal composition without unnecessary additives. And, since we will use it to marinate the hearts, it will be great if you take soy sauce designed specifically for marinade. Pour soy sauce into the hearts.
STEP 4
Add vegetable oil. I really like sesame oil for use in marinades.
STEP 5
Add chopped garlic. I put the clove through a press, but you can grate the garlic on a fine grater or chop it with a knife. It is possible to replace fresh garlic with garlic powder. Also at this stage you can add some of your favorite herbs or seasonings to the hearts: suneli hops, ground pepper, herbs de Provence, thyme or rosemary - choose to your taste! Leave the hearts to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
STEP 6
Since chicken hearts are a fairly small product, we will cook it on wooden skewers. To prevent them from burning on the grill, soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. It is optimal if they lie in the water for about 2 hours.
STEP 7
Thread the marinated hearts onto wooden skewers.
STEP 8
Light the wood in advance. Birch firewood is recommended for cooking over coals. Wait until they burn out and form coals. You can also use ready-made factory-made coals - just heat them up.
STEP 9
Wooden skewers are quite short, and in the traditional form they cannot be placed on the grill. Therefore, place the grill grate on the grill and place the skewers with hearts on it. Cook the kebab, turning it often enough so that the hearts do not burn, but are evenly fried. Total cooking time is about 15-20 minutes.
STEP 10
Serve heart shish kebab with fresh vegetables and herbs. Bon appetit!
