  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a salad of fresh cucumbers in sour cream? Prepare all the necessary products. Use sour cream of any fat content depending on your taste: with 10% the salad will be lighter, with 30% it will be richer.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Nowadays you can buy good quality vegetables at any time of the year. I have a long, smooth cucumber, but small cucumbers with a lot of pimples and a pronounced smell of freshness are also perfect. Wash the cucumbers well in running water. If you have store-bought vegetables, then it is best to use a special brush and a product for washing vegetables and fruits. Store-bought vegetables are treated with various gases and paraffin, so all this must be washed off.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut off the butts of the cucumbers. Cut it into half circles. In principle, you can use any type of cutting from thin circles to small cubes - this does not affect the taste in any way.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the greens (I used dill) well, be sure to dry them, otherwise they will stick to the knife. Chop the greens in any convenient way. I've been using kitchen scissors for this lately - it's very convenient. I also want to note that it doesn’t have to be dill at all - any fresh herbs will do. Maybe you prefer cilantro and parsley, but for others, green onions or arugula are the ideal herbs. Choose according to your taste!

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Combine dill and cucumbers in a deep salad bowl, add chopped garlic. I prefer to grate the garlic on a fine grater, but you can chop it with a knife or put it through a press. If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can use garlic powder. At this stage, you can also add your favorite spices and seasonings to the salad. Some people will prefer to pepper this salad, while others will prefer to add sweet paprika.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Season the salad with sour cream, preferably thick, homemade. If sour cream is not available, you can use light yogurt, such as Greek. Or simply season with mayonnaise. Check the salad for salt - add more salt if necessary.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Serve the salad with cucumbers, sour cream and herbs with meat, fish or as a separate dish. Bon appetit!

This salad is a godsend when you come home in the evening and there is only meat in the refrigerator and no side dish. And I have neither the strength nor the desire to cook anything. This is where this simple, unpretentious salad comes in handy. It takes three to four minutes to prepare. This salad is light, piquant, aromatic due to dill and garlic, it goes perfectly with heavy meat dishes, perfectly complements them and refreshes them. We used Adyghe salt. No wonder they say, everything ingenious is simple, cook with pleasure!

Fresh cucumber salad in sour cream is a delicious dish for every day. Of course, this salad is even tastier during the vegetable season, but I really like it in winter too. And it’s ready for one or two! I cut the cucumber into half rings, chopped the garlic and dill. Add salt, add sour cream and stir. Very juicy and tasty!
