No, there's a lot of sugar. Personally, I don't really like buns that are too sweet. And French ones are best eaten with cream or jam.

The buns are excellent, try them, you won’t regret it! I couldn’t express how tender and airy they are, and even sweet, despite the fact that there is little sugar. Of course, it takes a lot of time to prepare them, in total it took me almost 3 hours, but this is taking into account the fact that that I also left the dough in a warm place for an hour before adding it to the dough.
