Thanks to this simple trick, the dish in the pot turns out to be especially tasty and aromatic. Grease the bottom of the pot with sunflower oil, and place the dumplings out of the pan.

    In the same frying pan, fry finely chopped onion and grated carrots in oil until golden.

    Place the fried meat on top of the dumplings. Prepare the filling: put sour cream, salt, ground black pepper in a cup, pour in clean water, stir. Pour the contents of the pot with this mixture, fill it up to the shoulder of the pot so that when boiling the broth does not start to leak out. I liked the recipe for dumplings in sour cream in a pot, so I decided to cook them for lunch. Just enough for two people, I think. I fried the dumplings in a mixture of vegetable and butter, so the butter burns less. I divided the dumplings into two pots. There is enough oil left to fry. I tried to chop the onion smaller and grated the carrots on a medium grater. This way it will cook faster and the consistency will be more tender. Placed it on top of the dumplings. To fill, dilute the sour cream with warm water so that there are no lumps. I salted it, added aromatic spices and filled the pots. I added more water, I wanted to get a delicious sour cream broth. In general, you can slightly cover the dumplings and then there will be practically no broth left, everything will be absorbed. I baked it for about 40-45 minutes at 200°C. I was very pleased with the result! The dumplings turned out so tender! The carrots gave them a sweet flavor, and the butter and sour cream were creamy! For me this is the perfect combination of products. Tasty and satisfying!

Of course, everyone has different tastes and I will only express my opinion - I didn’t like it. The taste of frying completely overwhelmed the taste of the dumplings. But I modified this recipe a little for myself, removed the frying of carrots and onions and added a little more water with sour cream. It turned out great. Thanks to the author of the recipe for giving me a good idea.
